Skip Sanford grew up in Eastern Congo, the son of John and Ferne Sanford, missionaries with the Berean Mission. Because of his love for the Congolese brothers and sisters, his desire was to have a “waterproof” Bible printed in the Congo Swahili language. This would be so beneficial due to the harsh, humid conditions “down country”.
